Acer, the well known computer manufacturer has apparently decided to diversify by taking part in the mobile wars.  Today, they announced their plans to release a 7” Android Tablet, a digital e-reader, and a high-powered Android phone.

Very little is known about the tablet the intend to launch beyond the 7” size, a Kindle styled keyboard, and the possibility of 3G capabilities in partnership with one of the mobile providers.  The tablet device is scheduled to release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2010
