The face of TV as we know it is about to change, just ask Google. The search engine giant, and master of just about all things digital is jumping into the TV bizz as we announced on May 23rd of this year. The big difference is that Google has found a way to merge the TV and the Internet into one machine and make them work together in what I think are some really cool ways.

You can access a quick tour of what Google has in store for us all on the Google TV website. Some of the highlights include a fully functional search engine on your TV.  You’ll get full web integration working in conjunction with your current TV service giving you the ability to watch and surf simultaneously.  You’ll have access to a wide range of apps, such as NetFlix and Hulu, that make your TV experience more full and enjoyable. You’ll gain the ability to use your Android and iPhone as a remote control.  And, you will get simple and complete DVR integration if you are a DISH Network customer.

With Google TV hardware partner, Logitech, ready to do their launch event on the 6th of October and Sony set to do theirs on the 12th, our ability to purchase access the Google TV product is not far away at all. We’ll soon see how big a hit this launch will be in the eyes of the consumer. The good news is, like with all Google products, we probably won’t have to wait long to see what’s up.

We’d really like to know what you all think about the Google TV product launch and how you think its going to do in the market place. Are you interested in this type of product? Please leave us your comments and let us know what you think.
